Fleur De Lis Relief

PRESS RELEASE
A major earthquake struck the Caribbean nation of Haiti on January 12, 2010 causing massive loss of lives and destruction. Haiti’s ambassador to the United States called the quake a “catastrophe of major proportions.” August 29, 2005, the largest natural disaster in the United States struck Slidell, Louisiana. We have been there, we understand. In an effort to give back in dedication to all of the relief workers that helped us rebuild, the City of Slidell, East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce and East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity have joined forces to host a Fleur De Lis Relief event. 100% of all proceeds will go directly to Haiti to assist with Food, Water, Shelter, Medicine and Education.

The Fleur De Lis Relief event will be held on Sunday, March 7, at Slidell Heritage Park from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. with community involvement, live entertainment, food, drinks and family fun.

Chamber Members are invited to set up a booth to promote your business, support community awareness and raise money to be sent to Haiti. For more information on participation please call the Chamber today at 985-643-5678.
