The Festival of Hope/
Habitat for Humanity Collaboration

Festival of Hope is a community-wide celebration for all of Eastern St. Tammany Parish. This four-day event is free, open to the public, and will be conducted at the Northshore Harbor Center. The Festival of Hope will remind us of challenges we have faced (as a community and as individuals) and will provide a strong, encouraging, message of hope each evening.

Habitat for Humanity will be a part of the Festival of Hope, as we build on the construction site during the day and on site at the Northshore Harbor Center each night. We will be constructing walls to be used in the Habitat house located on Washington street in Slidell.

In addition to actual construction taking place at the Festival, we will be introducing our new "Sponsor a Square Foot" fundraiser. Geared toward those community members who may not be able to aid with the construction of a house, "Sponsor a Square Foot" allows any member of the community to take part in putting a deserving family into a home. The price to sponsor one square foot of a brand new Habitat house is $60. Please help us eliminate poverty housing one square foot at a time.
